With the donations collected at the concert, the Carolin Illenzeer Foundation supports the education and hobbies of the children of the armed forces who have been seriously injured or died in service. 66 children, whose parent was killed or seriously injured in the service of the Estonian Defense Forces, receive support from the Foundation. This year, the concert took place for the first time in the Taara army base, where 700 draftees and representatives of the Allies took part in the concert. At the concert, the legendary song "Kaelakee hääl", which brought Estonia fifth place at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996, was performed by Jüri Pootsmann and Maarja-Liis Ilus; Lenna paid homage to Riho Sibul, a great figure of Estonian music who left us last year, with the song "Lennelda priiks"; Mihkel Raud performed the piece "Sõidulaul" composed by his father Eno Raud; From Sissi, we heard her piece as well as the hit "Sinu hääl" which is part of our musical treasure trove; Jaan Pehk, who studied to be a pilot in Võru in 1993, performed the song "Vastust teab vaid tuul"; Suured tüdrukud made the whole base sing along with the song "Ära möödu must lähedalt". The 13-year-old Martamai, who receives support from the Foundation, also performed at the concert with the children's choir So-La-Re. The hosts of the evening were junior sergeant Karl-Erik Taukar, who served in Taara too and Piret Laos. The singers were accompanied by the Estonian Military Orchestra under the direction of conductor Teet Raik.

Martin Herem, head of the Defense Forces, said: “I am very grateful to the Carolin Illenzeer Foundation, the concert producers and the musicians, not only for the musical experience but also for recognising the service of the Defence Forces. The whole initiative is a sign that our service is valued in society. This gives us additional strength and motivation, and ultimately makes our whole country better." The concert will reach the audience on the evening of 19th of June at 20:00 on Kanal 2 and as an online broadcast on the Postimees website. The concert will also be heard on Kuku radio on the 23rd of June.

The Carolin Illenzeer Foundation is named after Carolin, the daughter of Senior Sergeant Arre Illenzeer, who died in Iraq in 2005 on a foreign mission. At that time, friends of Illenzeer from the defence forces started to support the family, and a Foundation was later established to help families in a similar situation.
